Plan ahead because this place is open for lunch only, but if you're looking for good barbecue in Asheville, you can't skip 12 Bones. President Obama made a stop there when he vacationed in Asheville… and returned on his next visit. Don't miss it.
Moe's Original Barbecue
4 Sweeten Creek Rd
In case you want barbecue for dinner, or you just want a different sort of barbecue experience, try out Moe's Original Barbecue, ranked highly on TripAdvisor.
282 Smokey Park Hwy
Pretty much what you'd expect from a Mexican restaurant, but its close proximity to the Sleep Inn West and its consistently reliable service and quality make this one of our top recommendations. Also, if you like margaritas, theirs are excellent.
Papas and Beer
1000 Brevard Road or 17 Tunnel Road
Serving Cali-Mex cuisine. Wildly popular in Asheville. They don't have a website, but visit the Mountain Xpress website for a review that will have you counting down the days until you get to try it.
6 Patton Ave
Serving Mexican-Caribbean cuisine. Located in the heart of downtown… a local favorite.
1341 Parkwood Ave Suite 106
Not necessarily "Latin American" but these are some darn good burritos. Neo Burrito uses lots of local ingredients and emphasizes sustainability in their operations.

VEGETARIAN AND VEGAN
The Laughing Seed

OTHER AMERICAN & INTERNATIONAL CUISINE
Apollo Flame Bistro

400 Haywood Road
The Admiral is relatively new to the Asheville scene, but it's so good that it was just voted Western North Carolina's #1 favorite restaurant. Any "foodies" must put this on their list. The cuisine is varied and creative. Make reservations
233 Montford Ave
HIGHLY recommended! Caribbean-inspired mostly-pasta cuisine in the historic Montford district. They get really busy during normal lunch and dinner hours, so if you want a more leisurely experience go a little before or after these times. Dinner meals come with a basket of garlic (natty) bread and salad (get the His Majesty's dressing). The pesto pasta (Irie Ites) is a favorite, or if they have a special running it is usually spectacular.
French Broad Chocolate Lounge
10 South Lexington Ave
